With a range of bespoke disabled access systems to choose from, you can be sure our team will guide you through the selection, estimation, specification, fabrication and installation processes with expert assistance.
All projects begin with an initial enquiry. Please view our current product range to assess the specific Sesame lift you are looking for. We work with anyone from building contractors, civil engineers and architects to homeowners and business managers. Whatever your status, whether you’re enquiring about a wheelchair lift for a project you’ve just had commissioned or for a building that’s closer to your heart, our customer service team will talk you through the entire process from beginning to end in this initial call. We’ll answer your questions and arrange for brochures and case studies from previous projects to be dispatched to you.Alternatively, you can view all our projects yourself on our projects page. We’ll also ask for building plans and specs to be emailed over if available and send out a detailed questionnaire if not, in order to gather all of the detail needed to produce a disabled access system estimate. The questionnaire includes information such as the number of steps required, intended users and controllers of the wheelchair lift and preferred location of the upper and lower landing stations.
Within 48 hours of receiving and processing a Request For Quotation (RFQ), an initial estimate will be sent out electronically via our bespoke design and pricing configuration tool. It includes a detailed project scope including reference to relevant legislation and full cost breakdown. Clear and concise, each element of your chosen wheelchair platform is presented as an individual cost followed by labour, installation, service and shipping fees where applicable.
Following a detailed discussion either on site or over the internet with you and/or your representatives, the initial estimate is converted into a project and the bespoke design phase can commence.
Upon the acceptance of your order, our team of designers will set to work designing the wheelchair lift(s) to your exact requirements. We use AutoDesk Inventor 3D modelling software for this process and collaborate with you throughout the process. Once agreed a project manager (PM) is assigned, who then produces a detailed Gantt chart displaying the agreed milestones relating to the deployment of your Sesame wheelchair lift. The assigned project manager is tasked with keeping you updated and will remain in communication throughout the entire process.
With the design of your wheelchair lift(s) now complete, fabrication begins. This process will vary from project to project usually takes between 8-16 weeks to complete. . The PM will then work with you to confirm an installation date and enter into a vesting agreement, awaiting delivery. The installation phase typically takes around two weeks to complete and if your building is located outside of the UK, will include shipping anywhere in the world (shipping duration may not be included in the two weeks install time, due to transport availability and location).
Now that your disabled access system has been designed, built and installed, it is fully compliant and ready to be used. We want to ensure that the lift remains fully operational for years to come and will implement a servicing schedule inline with Quality Standards & DDA regulations. Typically, servicing will need to be carried out every 4-6 months in order for the system to remain compliant. We maintain proactive and on-going communication with the building/facility managers throughout the year via email, telephone and site visits.
