Nowadays, more companies and public buildings are realising the advantages of installing a disabled lift in their premises since it improves accessibility for staff and brings a modern look to their offices, which attracts more people to visit and is easy to maintain over many years.

Wheelchairs are becoming more commonplace as improvements in technology result in more user-friendly products. Furthermore, homes are being fitted with a disabled lifts’ so that people with walking difficulties don’t have to climb the stairs to get to the first floor.

Sesame Access provides all of these advantages through their unique disabled lifts that are tailor-made for each client and designed in such a way that they don’t detract from the surroundings. Our lifts have been installed at important landmarks such as Tate Britain and Eton College with designs including retractable stairs that replace part of the entrance steps and are decorated in the exact same style as these steps. The disabled lift is fitted with a gate and control post, which when pressed cause the stairs to retract and reveal a wheelchair friendly platform which can be easily raised or lowered by the push of a button.

These are merely a couple of examples of the work that we do and our customers have been very impressed by our high standards, often mentioning how it is hard to notice that any alterations have been made to the entrance steps. The disabled lift as mentioned above has led to more disabled people being able to visit these places and access areas that were previously off-limits.
