Sesame Access continues long-term sponsorship of Circus Starr

At Sesame Access, we’re more than just a disabled access lift company. We are committed to engaging with the disability community and supporting causes that make a real difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. That’s why we are incredibly proud to continue our long-term sponsorship of the amazing charity Circus Starr - a charity dedicated to bringing the magic of the circus to children with additional needs and their families.

Circus Starr: A truly inclusive experience

Circus Starr is a charity with a truly inspiring mission. It creates fully inclusive, award-winning variety shows designed specifically for children with disabilities and their carers. Each year, Sesame Access sponsors five children with disabilities and their carers to attend these remarkable shows, free of charge, providing them with a special night of entertainment they’ll never forget.

Circus Starr is dedicated to ensuring that children with additional needs can access the joy and wonder of live entertainment, something that many families may find difficult due to accessibility issues, sensory sensitivities, or the need for additional support. Its performances are designed with inclusivity at the core, ensuring that every family, regardless of their abilities, can come together and enjoy the show.

A circus experience for everyone

Circus Starr stages 148 animal-free shows every year across the UK, showcasing world-class circus talent and bringing joy to children who might otherwise miss out on these experiences.

Circus Starr understands that attending mainstream events can be a challenge for children with additional needs. That’s why it tailors its circus performances to ensure they are fully accessible. Whether it’s the excitement of acrobats flying through the air or the laughter of clowns engaging the audience, Circus Starr creates an environment where everyone can enjoy the performance together, without barriers.

The charity provides a safe and welcoming space for families who may have previously found it difficult to attend such events. By making thoughtful adaptations to its shows, including wheelchair access and sensory-friendly environments.

Why we support Circus Starr

At Sesame Access, our partnership with Circus Starr goes beyond simply sponsoring tickets to a show. For us, it’s about making a meaningful, long-term impact in the lives of children and families who face challenges in accessing entertainment and cultural experiences. Circus Starr’s mission to provide inclusive, accessible events deeply resonates with our own values.

We are committed to breaking down barriers and creating inclusive spaces for everyone — regardless of ability. Whether through our lifts and products that improve accessibility in the built environment or through our support of Circus Starr, we believe in a world where everyone has the freedom to enjoy the things that make life special. Supporting Circus Starr is part of our broader mission to empower individuals, create inclusive communities, and ensure that no one is left behind.
